Tourolindo is, above all, an attempt to evoke the true Azorean "Afición," with a special emphasis on Terceira Island, where the tourada-à-corda has its greatest and most popular expression. This traditional event not only represents the overwhelming majority of bullfighting events on the islands but also influences almost every aspect of daily life, including cultural, environmental, and economic dimensions. It remains the ultimate example of a sustainable relationship between respecting human culture and truly honoring the animal. Here, the bull is genuinely the king and master of the festival.
